Hadia Mubarak is an Associate Professor of Religion at Queens University of Charlotte, where she teaches courses on the history of Islam in America, comparative scripture, family narratives in sacred texts, faith and feminism, and Muslims in pop culture, among other subjects. She is the author of Rebellious Wives, Neglectful Husbands: Controversies in Modern Qurʾanic Commentaries (Oxford University Press, 2022), which explores significant shifts in modern Qurʾanic commentaries on the subject of women against the backdrop of broader historical developments in twentieth-century North Africa. She previously served as Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Guilford College (2018-2020) and as a Research Fellow at New York University-Abu Dhabi (NYUAD)’s Institute in the Humanities (2017-2018). Mubarak completed her Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Georgetown University. She currently serves as the resident scholar for Pillars Mosque in Charlotte, NC. Mansoor Syed, originally from western part of Pakistan. He has been living in Triangle area since 2002, raising two boys and two girls.
He has been blessed to be a part of volunteer teams at almost all Triangle-Area masajid for over 20 years now. He started delivering Khatira and Khutba in various Triangle-Area Masaajid in early 2014, and ,Alhamdulillah, have been continuously involved since. His education is Masters in IT, and he is currently working at SAS Institute, in Cary. |
Dr.Mostafa Muftah
Imam Shaikh Dr. Mostafa Muftah has Ph.D. Tafseer & Quranic Sciences, year 2019 & MA. Tafseer & Quranic Sciences, year 2016. He has completed his BA. Islamic & Arabic Sciences, year 2014. He is married with three children and currently has citizenship of American & Egyptian. He has specialization on all Ten Variances of Quranic Recitations by way of Tayyibah (Kubra), & Islamic Studies, From Al-Azhar Ash-shareef, Egypt, 2007. Imam Mostafa will lead daily prayers InsaAllah. Omar A. Altalib brings over 25 years of global leadership experience, including building and leading billion-dollar teams at Amazon and other Fortune 500 companies, driving innovation across sectors such as healthcare, finance, government, and energy. As co-founder of Forerunners, Omar channels his corporate experience into empowering leaders and organizations to align their work with a higher purpose. He helps leaders move beyond short-term metrics to build mission-driven teams grounded in shared values and compassion, enabling them to tackle society’s hardest challenges. At the heart of Omar’s work is a conviction that real change begins within: by connecting personal faith, professional excellence, and service to humanity. His approach draws on prophetic tradition and contemporary best practices, inspiring leaders to transform not only their organizations but also the communities they serve.

Shaykh Muhammad Khan is a graduate of the Islamic University of Madinah, Faculty of Shariah. He currently serves as the Imam and Youth Director at the Muslim Education Center, where he actively mentors and engages the community's youth. In addition, he is the Head of the Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Department at Intellicor Academy. Known for his grounded scholarship and ability to connect with youth, Shaykh Muhammad continues to serve as a passionate educator and community leader in Charlotte, NC.
Marwa Ismail is a national board certified health coach (NBC-HWC) who graduated from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the largest nutrition and health coaching school in the world. She went on to complete a certificate from MindBodyGreen in Functional Nutrition Coaching. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from UNC-Charlotte. Through her private practice, Figs and Olives Wellness, she helps her clients achieve their health and wellness goals by addressing lifestyle and nutrition changes. She also works remotely for Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center as she helps patients achieve their wellness goals and comply with their treatment plans. Aside from health coaching, Marwa loves to connect with the Quran and spend time with her husband and four children, enjoying nature and being outdoors.
