Shaykh Huzaifa Hamirani currently serves as an Imam at Islamic Society of Greenville South Carolina.
Shaykh Huzaifa studied the traditional Islamic sciences for 6 years abroad in the city of the Prophet (S), Al Madinah Al Munawarrah with many distinguished scholars and professors, and received a diploma in Arabic and a bachelors degree in comparative Islamic Law and Legal Philosophy from the Islamic University of Madinah. He also studied in the Prophets Mosque, Masjid Nabawi and received several diplomas and teaching licenses (ijāzāt) in the various disciplines. |
Imam Abdullah Jaber is a community activist, educator, and imam with degrees in Arabic and Islamic law. As the Executive Director, Imam Abdullah oversees the strategic vision and direction of CAIR-Florida.
Before joining us at CAIR-Florida, Br. Abdullah was most recently the Executive Director of CAIR-Georgia. Before that, he served as a resident scholar and imam in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of his work commitments, Imam Abdullah is an avid reader and fragrance aficionado. |
Hamza Vohra completed his memorization of the Qur'an from Markaz Khalid bin Walid, Sharjah, UAE. He is a graduate from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Upon completing his undergraduate education, Hamza decided to deepen his understanding of the Islamic sciences. He traveled to Cairo, Egypt where he earned Ijazah in Qur'anic recitation, and completed the year-long course in Arabic at al-Tibyan Center for Arabic studies. He then spent the next five years studying in the blessed city of Madinah, KSA at the University of Madinah, where he earned a B.A. in Islamic Jurisprudence. Hamza also earned a M.A. in Arabic from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. He currently serves as President and Imam of Masjid Samiya in Connecticut.
